HOPE Tutoring Center

Our Story

HOPE Tutoring Center has been dedicated to helping children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds since its establishment in 1996. Originating from a grassroots initiative at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, this nonprofit has grown to serve thousands of students over the years. Offering free customized tutoring programs to Arlington students in Grades 2 - 8, HOPE Tutoring Center operates in schools, libraries, churches, and through a virtual platform. Additionally, academic summer camps that include STEM education are provided to further support student learning.

Impact

With a commitment to empowering students, 87% of participants showed improvements in grades during the school year, while 100% of summer camp attendees demonstrated increased knowledge.
