Over a decade ago, Phil Johnson, Chief Prosthetist, was inspired to help a boy in Guatemala by donating parts for a prosthetic leg. This journey revealed a greater need for affordable prosthetics among children in developing countries. In 2014, alongside medical student Michael Mabry, Hope To Walk was founded to address the urgent needs of amputees in Honduras and beyond.
Hope To Walk has successfully fitted over 500 patients in Honduras, Guatemala, Haiti, and Vietnam with low-cost prosthetic legs, significantly enhancing their quality of life and mobility.
