Transforming Lives Through Hope Leadership Academy

Hope Leadership Academy (HLA) was founded in 2010 by Willie Briscoe, who experienced the challenges of growing up without a father. HLA aims to fill this gap for fatherless youth in underserved communities across San Diego County. What began as a summer program has evolved into a year-round comprehensive youth ministry, providing essential support and guidance to over 80 children weekly through three Academies and numerous outreach programs.

Making a Lasting Impact

HLA's 100% FREE After School Academy is a cornerstone of its mission, offering academic support, mentorship, and enriching activities until 6 PM, five days a week. Participants enjoy weekly field trips and a curriculum based on the five principles of Hope Leadership Academy, empowering them to break the cycles of poverty and hopelessness.
