Our Story

Hope Haven is the second oldest community program for individuals with developmental disabilities in Georgia, founded in 1958 by five dedicated families. Initially supported by individual donations, it became an agency of the Athens Community Chest in 1962 and expanded with state funding in 1972. Over the years, Hope Haven has built a strong reputation for quality services and has opened several facilities to meet the evolving needs of the community.
