Our Story

Hope CommUnity Center, founded in the early 1970s by Sisters Cathy Gorman, Gail Grimes, and Ann Kendrick, has been a beacon of hope for farmworkers and the working poor in Apopka, Florida. The organization focuses on fostering diverse, empowered learning communities that engage in personal and societal transformation. Over the decades, HCC has partnered with local residents to tackle critical issues such as illiteracy and healthcare access, leading to the establishment of multiple nonprofits that have positively impacted thousands of lives.
