Our Story

The Hope Center for Autism began in a small room at the First Baptist Church in Jensen Beach, where a group of dedicated parents recognized the unique needs of their children. Established in 2002, it started as a sanctuary for intensive instruction beyond traditional school curricula. By 2004, it evolved into a public charter school for prekindergarten through 2nd grade. In 2012, the center relocated to a new facility on Indian Street, and in 2018, it expanded to include grades 3 to 8 under the Martin County School District. In 2023, The Hope Academy merged into The Hope Center, broadening its mission to support individuals of all ages with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Impact

The Hope Center provides a safe environment for mastering essential skills in social interaction, communication, academics, and executive functioning. This nurturing space empowers young adults to transition into the workforce and prepares students for integration into traditional educational settings.
