Our Story

Founded in 2006 by Chuck Ritz, the Hope and Peace Foundation emerged from a passion for community service and a commitment to honor the sacrifices made by individuals. Inspired by his experiences as a photojournalist and the aftermath of 9/11, Ritz initiated The Ride for Life Motorcycle & Music Festival to raise awareness for victims of child sexual abuse. The organization has since focused on fostering compassion and unity through various remembrance events and educational programs.

Our Impact

With over $48,000 raised for the Baltimore Child Abuse Center and thousands donated to local charities, the Hope and Peace Foundation has made significant strides in supporting victims of child abuse and other social issues. The creation of Maryland’s 9/11 Rolling Memorial stands as a testament to the organization’s dedication to preserving history and educating future generations.
