About Hope Aglow Ministries

Founded in 1965 by Ed and Alfreda Martin, Hope Aglow Ministries has dedicated over five decades to serving individuals in jails and prisons across the United States. The journey began when Ed, a former inmate, found hope and redemption through Christ. Inspired by his transformation, he and his wife established this ministry to reach out to those who feel forgotten and lost.

Garry Sims, who also experienced a life-changing moment while incarcerated, took over the leadership after Ed's passing. Under Garry's guidance, a devoted team of volunteers conducts weekly church services, prayer meetings, and distributes Bibles and Bible study materials to inmates. This outreach not only provides spiritual nourishment but also fosters a sense of community and support for incarcerated individuals and their families.
