The Hoosier Heartland Trolley Company was founded in 2018 with a mission to preserve the last remaining cars of Indiana’s electric railways. This organization aims to ignite imagination and curiosity in individuals from all walks of life by showcasing the art, science, culture, technology, and economic empowerment of Indiana’s historic electric railway industry.

Impact

Union Traction Company No. 429 'Noblesville', built in 1925, transformed transportation in Indiana by connecting major towns and cities through a cost-effective electric railway network. This interurban system provided rapid access to schools and businesses, significantly shaping Indiana's development.
