Our Story

Founded by Dr. Rick Kvam in 1992, Honors Choirs of Southeast Minnesota began as an auditioned high school choir in Rochester, Minnesota. Over the years, it has blossomed into the largest youth music organization in the region, serving 250-350 young singers from over 50 schools and 25 communities.

Impact

With over 2,000 singers having participated in the program, Honors Choirs has been recognized for its dedication to the arts and youth, earning accolades such as the 2001 Arts Organization of the Year and the Mayor’s Award for Outstanding Youth in the Arts in 2014.
