Our Story

Honoring Choices Virginia was established in 2015 through a collaboration of Richmond Academy of Medicine, Bon Secours Richmond Health System, HCA Virginia, and VCU Health. This initiative aims to foster a culture of advance care planning, empowering individuals to make informed medical decisions.

Impact

With over 230 certified advance care planning facilitators across more than 50 clinical and community sites, Honoring Choices Virginia is recognized by the Virginia Department of Health for its commitment to enhancing community capacity in advance care planning.
