Our Story

The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial began as Honor Flight Michigan in 2007, providing all-expense paid trips for WWII veterans to the National WWII Memorial. After 33 flights and 1400 veterans, the mission was accomplished in 2010. The vision evolved to create a memorial in Michigan, a place to gather, remember, and inspire future generations about the heroic efforts of the Greatest Generation.

Impact

This memorial serves as Michigan’s official tribute to the self-sacrifice, courage, and patriotism of those who helped win World War II.
