Honor Flight Kern County (HFKC) is a dedicated all-volunteer nonprofit organization committed to honoring the brave veterans of Kern County and surrounding areas. As part of the Honor Flight Network, which encompasses 136 hubs nationwide, HFKC's mission is to send America’s veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor, at no cost to them.
With the generous support of donors, HFKC provides veterans with a hero’s send-off in Bakersfield and a warm welcome in Washington, D.C. Veterans enjoy guided tours of significant memorials, including the WWII, Korean, and Vietnam memorials, as well as the Changing of The Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
