Honor Flight Bay Area

Our Story

Honor Flight Bay Area Foundation was established in 2014 to honor and serve veterans from the San Francisco Bay Area. The inaugural Honor Flight Tour took place in May 2005, transporting twelve World War II veterans to visit their memorial in Washington, D.C. Since then, the program has expanded to include veterans from various conflicts, ensuring that all veterans have the opportunity to visit the memorials dedicated to their service.

Impact

Since its inception, Honor Flight Bay Area has successfully flown 925 veterans to Washington, D.C., conducting 35 flights. The organization prioritizes senior veterans and those with terminal illnesses, ensuring they can visit the memorials built in their honor.
