Homies Unidos Denver

Our Story

Founded in Los Angeles in 1997 and expanded to Denver in 2015, Homies Unidos addresses the root causes of gang violence while supporting immigrant communities, particularly Salvadoran youth affected by civil war and displacement. By focusing on gang prevention, intervention, and youth empowerment, the organization is dedicated to building a safer, more just community.

Impact

Homies Unidos Denver serves around 150-200 youth each year, helping them build resilience and become leaders within their communities. The organization tackles trauma, mental health, and substance abuse, strengthening not only the youth but also their families and communities.
