Founded in 1998, HomewardBound of the Grand Valley emerged from a coalition of dedicated agencies and individuals aiming to tackle the urgent need for wintertime shelter in Western Colorado. This independent nonprofit now leads the charge against poverty, food insecurity, and homelessness.
HomewardBound is the only year-round homeless shelter between Denver and Salt Lake City, providing essential services to single adults, families, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. With onsite healthcare, vocational training, and access to necessities, the organization plays a crucial role in the community.
