Our Story

Founded in 1974, Homeward Bound of Marin began as a small shelter for families and has grown into a leading provider of homeless services in Marin County. With a commitment to helping individuals and families transition out of homelessness, the organization has made significant strides in providing shelter, housing, and job training.

Impact

Last year, Homeward Bound of Marin provided shelter and housing for 915 people, served 13,000 meals each month, and trained 78 individuals in culinary skills. Notably, 56% of the staff have lived experience of homelessness, bringing invaluable insight to the mission.
