Our Story

Founded in 1992, Homeless Children’s Network was established by directors of homeless shelters in San Francisco who recognized the need for continuity and support for homeless families. By unifying service agencies, HCN provides comprehensive support to address the complex psychosocial needs of homeless children and their families.

Our Impact

Each year, HCN serves over 2,400 individuals, offering vital mental health services, case management, and family education. These programs empower families to overcome the trauma of homelessness and violence, significantly improving the lives of children and youth in the San Francisco area.
