Our Story

The Homeless Assistance Leadership Organization, Incorporated, known as HALO, was born from a community-wide effort to combat homelessness in Racine County. In 2003, over 100 community members collaborated to create a strategic plan, leading to HALO's incorporation in 2004 and the opening of its shelter in 2005.

Impact

In the past year, HALO provided shelter to 477 individuals, with 36% exiting to positive housing destinations. Notably, 60% of households with children found stable housing.
