Our Story

Founded in 1985, Homebridge emerged from a coalition of community-based organizations dedicated to enhancing access to In-Home Support Services (IHSS) for at-risk individuals facing behavioral complexities. Over the years, Homebridge has evolved into a singular entity, delivering IHSS care management and direct services under a contract with the City and County of San Francisco. This commitment ensures that vulnerable San Franciscans receive the support they need to thrive in their homes.

Homebridge has been a lifeline for individuals with complex health, behavioral, and social needs in the San Francisco Bay Area, effectively preventing institutionalization and homelessness.
