Our Story

Home Health & Hospice Care has a rich history dating back to 1883, when the Good Cheer Society was founded by a group of compassionate young women in Nashua. Their dedication to the health and welfare of the community's poor and disadvantaged led to the hiring of the first nurse in 1902, paving the way for the Nashua Visiting Nurse Association, one of the first in the nation. In 1989, a merger of three agencies formed Home Health & Hospice Care, which now serves approximately 25 communities in southern New Hampshire.

Our Impact

Providing high-quality, compassionate medical care to patients of all ages, including those without insurance, is at the heart of Home Health & Hospice Care. Services are delivered in the comfort of patients' homes and at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.
