Our Story

Home HeadQuarters is a dedicated non-profit housing and community development organization founded in 1996 in Syracuse, New York. Initially focused on home improvement lending and education, it has expanded to create diverse housing opportunities and improve communities across Central and Upstate New York. As a certified Community Development Financial Institution and a member of the NeighborWorks® America Network since 1999, Home HeadQuarters has become a leader in homebuyer education and counseling.

Impact

With a commitment to revitalizing neighborhoods, Home HeadQuarters has facilitated over 5,000 homebuyers and provided more than $140 million in home improvement loans and grants. The organization has rehabilitated 230 formerly vacant properties and constructed over 70 new homes, significantly enhancing the housing landscape in the region.
