Our Story

Founded by Janelle Towne, The Home 2 Home Project emerged from a heartfelt connection with a local homeless shelter. Witnessing the struggles of families, particularly two young girls living there, ignited a passion to help. A successful fundraiser generated $5200 in gift cards, leading to the creation of a Facebook group dedicated to collecting gently used furniture and household items for families transitioning to apartments. Today, the organization boasts over 1500 volunteers and partnerships with various agencies, focusing on furnishing homes for formerly homeless families, especially women and children who have survived domestic abuse.
