Our Story

The Holdsworth Center was founded in 2017 by Charles Butt, honoring his mother, Mary Elizabeth Holdsworth, a dedicated schoolteacher and advocate for social justice. The organization is committed to improving K-12 public education in Texas by developing strong educational leaders.

Impact

Since its inception, The Holdsworth Center has positively impacted over 1,500 leaders across 75 school districts. This initiative has led to higher retention rates for educators and improved student outcomes, with 100% of districts reporting a stronger leadership pipeline after two years of partnership.
