Our Story

HOINA, founded by Darlene D. Large in 1978, began with a vision to provide a safe haven for orphaned Indian children. After her diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis, Darlene dedicated her life to this mission, starting with just seven children. Over the years, HOINA has grown to care for hundreds, offering homes, education, and vocational training.

Impact

With over 4,000 children rescued, HOINA provides safe housing, education, and medical care. Community programs like the Grandma Lunch Program support over 60 elderly widows, enhancing their health and well-being.
