The Hmong Institute was co-founded by Mai Zong and Peng Her, children of Hmong refugees who resettled in America after the Vietnam War. Launched in 2018, the organization focuses on serving the Hmong community and other underserved populations in Wisconsin through education, health, and cultural preservation.
Over 400 families have benefited from mental health programs, while more than 3,500 families received essential food support through the distribution of over 3,000 bags of rice. Additionally, 600 youth have engaged in enriching cultural and educational programs.
