Our Story
The Hmong American Peace Academy (HAPA) was founded in 2000 by Dr. Chris Her-Xiong to preserve Hmong culture and language while fostering knowledgeable citizens. Since opening in 2004 as Wisconsin's first Hmong Charter School, HAPA has grown from 200 to over 1,800 scholars, serving the Milwaukee Hmong community.
