Our Story

Tulsa CARES was founded in 1991 as a community response to the growing need for coordinated HIV/AIDS care during some of the darkest days of the epidemic. For over three decades, Tulsa CARES has evolved alongside the changing landscape of HIV/AIDS, transitioning from a fatal illness to a manageable chronic disease. Today, it stands as the largest and most comprehensive provider of prevention and care programs for low-income individuals living with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C in Oklahoma.
