Our Story

The Pump House Museum, built in 1901, originally served as an Edison Electric Power Plant for the Hotel Ottawa. After the hotel burned down in 1923, the building was repurposed to provide water to local cottages. In the early 2010s, a partnership with the Historic Ottawa Beach Society led to its renovation, transforming it into a museum that showcases local history and culture.

Impact

Since its reopening, the Pump House Museum has become a significant cultural and educational resource for Park Township and the West Michigan area, attracting over 4,000 visitors in its first major exhibition year and enriching the local community's cultural life.
