Our Story

In 1995, the United Churches of the Chambersburg Area (UCCA) took ownership of the Historic Letterkenny Chapel, a site built in 1945 by Italian Prisoners of War. This chapel, dedicated by the Apostolic Nuncio, has served as a military chapel and a place of reflection for generations. The UCCA is dedicated to preserving this historic site and its mission.

Impact

The Franklin County Veterans and 9/11 Memorial Park stands as a tribute to all veterans, prisoners of war, and the victims of September 11, 2001. It serves as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by servicemen and women, first responders, and citizens who acted heroically during times of crisis.
