Our Story
The Historic Hampton House is a significant Green Book Hotel that served as a gathering place for influential figures during the 1950s, 60s, and early 70s. This cultural landmark was a social center for the African American community in Miami, hosting events and meetings for civil rights leaders. After closing in 1976 and facing demolition, it was restored in 2015 to function as a museum and community center, preserving its rich history and cultural significance.
