Our Story
Established in the 1850s by European immigrants, Historic Germantown was Nashville’s first suburb, showcasing a unique blend of large brick townhomes and modest worker’s cottages. This vibrant neighborhood exemplifies a mixed-use community with diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Revitalization efforts began in the 1970s, leading to the area being designated a Registered Historic District in 1979. Today, Germantown is experiencing a renaissance, restoring its original grandeur while inviting residents to live, work, and play in the urban core.
