Our Story

His Hands Outreach has been a beacon of hope in the Podunk neighborhood for over five years. This initiative began with a simple prayer walk, where a group of dedicated individuals sought to deepen their Christian walk and make a tangible difference in their community. What started as a small garden plot quickly blossomed into a flourishing outreach program, as the city entrusted us with a larger garden and the care of local park flowers.

Every Sunday, the community gathered for a picnic, which evolved into a vibrant Sunday-Funday for local children. Through shared meals, games, and heartfelt devotionals, relationships were nurtured, and a sense of belonging was cultivated. As the seasons changed, so did the needs of the community. The winter months prompted a search for a dedicated space to continue fostering these connections, leading to the opening of the Hope Grows Neighborhood Center in September 2015.
