Our Story
Founded in 2009 by Seattle native Keith Tucker, Hip Hop Is Green emerged from a deep-rooted commitment to holistic wellness and environmental transformation. On the soil of his grandparents, where resilience flourished away from the Jim Crow South, Tucker ignited a national movement. The initiative began with a mission to serve communities in need, providing over 20,000 free, plant-based meals across the nation. This groundbreaking effort made Hip Hop Is Green the first hip hop organization to deliver nutritious meals to BIPOC families nationwide.
