Hillel for Utah

Our Story

Hillel for Utah began in the fall of 2010 with a small group of seven students at Westminster College. This passionate group initiated a student club called 'Chai Life,' which quickly gained recognition from Hillel International as a 'small and mighty' organization. The establishment of a full-time executive director in July 2015 marked a significant turning point, allowing for greater outreach and programming. In 2017, Hillel for Utah became an independent 501(c)(3) organization, headquartered at the Jewish Community Center. As of July 2023, it transitioned to a program of the United Jewish Federation of Utah, continuing its mission to support Jewish students across various colleges in Utah.
