Our Story

Founded in 1896 by Dr. Nancy Hill and a group of dedicated women, Hillcrest Family Services began as a refuge for unmarried mothers and their infants in Dubuque, Iowa. Over the years, it has transformed into a comprehensive nonprofit organization that provides vital services such as adoption, mental health counseling, and support for the homeless. Driven by a mission to meet individuals where they are today and guide them to where they want to be tomorrow, Hillcrest emphasizes a culture of results and compassion.
