Our Story

In 1992, a group of concerned citizens from Blanco, Burnet, Lampasas, Llano, and San Saba counties came together to address the urgent need for a better community response to child abuse. They discovered that establishing Children’s Advocacy Centers was the most effective way to prevent the re-victimization of children during investigations. With the formation of a dedicated Board of Directors and the establishment of non-profit status, the Hill Country Children’s Advocacy Center was born, serving children and families for over twenty years.

Impact

In the past year alone, the center reviewed 1563 CPS intakes and provided over 1000 hours of therapy, positively impacting 257 families and educating 6049 students on child safety.
