Our Story

Founded in 1986 by four passionate women, Hill Country Animal League began as a grassroots effort to address the growing number of unwanted pets. Initially funded through neighborhood garage sales, the organization has evolved into a vital community resource, establishing a thrift store in 2001 that continues to support its mission. The clinic has successfully performed over 100,000 spay and neuter surgeries, significantly impacting the lives of countless animals.
