Our Story
Founded in 1988, Hildebrand Family Self Help Center was inspired by Reverend Leroy Attles' encounter with a homeless family. This organization emerged to address the urgent need for shelter and support for homeless families in Cambridge, Massachusetts. With a self-help philosophy, Hildebrand partners with families to provide shelter, permanent housing, and essential life skills development.
Impact
In FY24, Hildebrand worked with 386 families, successfully helping 66 families secure permanent housing. Remarkably, 95% of these families have remained stably housed for at least two years, showcasing the effectiveness of the supportive services provided.
