Highlands Foot and Ankle Institute was established as a natural extension of the Highlands/PSL Podiatric Residency Program, initiated by Dr. John Buckholtz in 1975. The Institute addresses the need for quality academic meetings for foot and ankle surgeons, leveraging the expertise of its graduates to foster continuing education.
Through seminars and training for podiatric residents and surgeons, the Institute has awarded continuing education credits and scholarships based on need. Medical missions to underserved regions showcase the talents of graduates and contribute to the advancement of podiatric surgery.
