The Story of Higher Hopes!

Founded in 2014, Higher Hopes! emerged from a poignant local news story about a young woman struggling to provide a Thanksgiving meal for her family. This moment illuminated the pressing issue of food insecurity in the community, inspiring the launch of the inaugural program, '1,000 Turkeys, 10,000 Smiles,' in partnership with Gleaners Community Food Bank.

Making an Impact

Higher Hopes! serves families with children enrolled in Early Head Start Child Care Partnership Programs in Metro Detroit. Over the years, the organization has distributed more than 65,000 lbs of food, ensuring that families have access to nutritious meals year-round.
