Our Story

After 31 years in the video production and corporate communications industry, Joe Baldo felt a calling to a life of ministry. His volunteer work in detention facilities revealed that many young people faced dire circumstances long before incarceration. This realization inspired the creation of Higher Ground, a safe haven for youth at critical crossroads in their lives. Here, caring mentors provide ongoing support, helping young individuals navigate their challenges and achieve success.

Impact

Higher Ground Youth & Family Services has made a profound impact, providing over 1.3 million hours of mentorship, $4.5 million in free mental health services, and 23,000+ hours of human trafficking prevention workshops. Additionally, over 600,000 meals have been served, showcasing a commitment to community well-being.
