In July 1993, a dream of a local community theater was born when a group of passionate actors presented "Rainmaker" in collaboration with the Lake City Community Theater. Officially incorporated on August 1, 1994, High Springs Community Theater has grown significantly, moving to its own building in 2002 and expanding its programs to include a Summer Youth Production that engages young talent in the arts.
HSCT has staged numerous productions and developed programs that engage the community, empowering young adults through theater.
