Founded in 2012, the High Desert Food & Farm Alliance (HDFFA) is dedicated to transforming the food system in Central Oregon. The organization emerged from a vision to enhance access to local, nutritious food for all residents, particularly those facing food insecurity. With roots tracing back to 2008, HDFFA has evolved from a small initiative into a robust nonprofit that connects local farmers with community members in need.

Impacting Lives Through Local Food

Since 2016, HDFFA has collected an impressive 130,000 pounds of produce from local farmers, translating to over 108,000 meals for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. This initiative not only supports local agriculture but also ensures that fresh, healthy food reaches those who need it most.
