Our Story

Established in 1935, Camp Nor’wester has a rich history of providing unique outdoor living experiences for young people. Originally founded by Frank and Lucile Henderson on San Juan Island, the camp has evolved through various locations and leadership, currently residing on Johns Island. The camp focuses on fostering self-confidence, respect, responsibility, and compassion among its campers, while also promoting diversity and inclusion within its community.
