Established in 1980, HEMS Inc. is a federally-recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving emergency medical services in Southeastern Michigan. Collaborating with hospitals, government, and EMS services, HEMS aims to create a world-class emergency care system for the citizens of western and downriver Wayne County.
HEMS proudly supports the MI-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT), providing specialized medical support during disasters and major events. As the Fiduciary of multiple Health Care Coalitions, HEMS ensures the safety and well-being of the community.
