Our Story

Founded in 2006 by Jacque Petrone, H.A.L.O. No-Kill Rescue was established to provide a safe haven for abused and abandoned animals in Indian River County. Recognizing the urgent need for a no-kill shelter in an area with a euthanasia rate exceeding 50%, H.A.L.O. has dedicated itself to saving lives and providing exemplary care for at-risk pets.

Impact

Since its inception, H.A.L.O. has saved over 20,000 lives and reduced euthanasia rates by 92% in the community. Through partnerships with local veterinarians and outreach initiatives, the organization ensures that no animal is left behind.
