Our Story

HelpAWS was founded by Charlene Penney, an expert in Non-Profit Management and Animal Welfare. What began as a one-person operation has blossomed into an international, foster-based organization operating across three countries, dedicated to rescuing and caring for animals in St. Lucia.

Impact

Since its inception, HelpAWS has successfully adopted thousands of animals into loving homes across Canada, the US, and Europe. The organization has also sterilized over 2,000 dogs and cats through high-volume spay and neuter clinics, significantly reducing the number of animals suffering on the streets.
