The H.E.R. Shelter was founded in 1983 by a dedicated group of women who recognized the urgent need for support and advocacy for victims of domestic violence. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services and facilities, now operating multiple locations that provide emergency shelter, legal advocacy, counseling, and transitional services for families.
