Our Story
The Hellenic-American Medical Society of Southern California (HAMDS) was founded in 1980 in Los Angeles by Dr. James G. Kallins and other distinguished medical professionals of Hellenic descent. The organization is dedicated to fostering connections and promoting the art and science of medicine among physicians and dentists of Hellenic origin.
Impact
Since its inception, HAMDS has awarded approximately 160 scholarships totaling over $200,000 to medical and dental students of Hellenic descent, significantly aiding their educational pursuits.
